Subjects Taught

I am very proud and honored to say I attended IES as an elementary student (1st grade through 8th grade)!

I am a Breckinridge County High School graduate.  I graduated from Western Kentucky University with my teaching certification in 1996. I also have a Masters and Rank I in counseling from Western Kentucky University.

I have worked for Breckinridge County Schools for a total of 22 years. I began my career working two years as an assistant to Family Resource Coordinator at both Custer Elementary and Ben Johnson Elementary Schools while I was working on my teaching degree. I have taught a total of 20 years.  I have taught kindergarten, first, second, and third grades. I also worked as an Early Reading First Coach for preschool age children for 2 1/2 years!  Helping children learn is my passion and seeing their faces light up with new knowledge is my greatest reward!

I have lived in Irvington all of my life and I am glad to call this wonderful community my home.  I have been married to my husband Keith for 32 years! We have been blessed with two amazing children! Bryce is fifteen years old and Emily is nine years old! My daughter attend IES and my son attend BCMS.  My husband,Keith, volunteers his time as an Archery Coach.  I'm also an Archery Coach and both of our children love the sport!  I enjoy spending time with my family. As a hobby, I love taking their pictures. Spare time is rare at our house, because both of my children are involved in after school activities! I have enjoyed my profession so much over the years and pray I made a difference in the lives of children I have had the honor to teach!
