News and Notes January 5, 2018

IES Families and Friends,

It's been a wonderful week at IES! Our students have put the finishing touches on their preparations for state testing next week and are ready to roll!

KPREP Testing will take place on Tuesday through Friday (May 22-25). We have worked hard all year long and the time is here for us to show our stuff! We will kick off the week and gear up for testing on Monday by rewarding students for their scores last year as well as welcoming "Remix Education Group" (a dynamic assembly that will pump students up and remind them of some test time tips. Please help us by talking with your child(ren) about the importance of doing their very best.

Monday was a fun and educational day for our 3-5 grade students as they participated in the annual "Bike Rodeo" presented by the children's hospital in Louisville.

This morning we opened our doors for all the dads and father figures of our students. Donuts for Dads was another success, and we thank everyone who came by to enjoy breakfast with us.

Below you'll see a list of all the end-of-year activities, so be sure to check it out! Have a fabulous weekend!

Working together toward success for all,

Jon Miller, Principal
