IES Family and Friends,

Good Friday afternoon, Wildcat Nation! It's been great to get back into our normal routine this week with help from Mother Nature.
Our students have worked really hard in the classroom and didn't let the week-long snow break slow us down. We continue to look at student work and assessments to determine the best course of action for each student. As always, if you have any questions about what students are learning, don't hesitate to give your teacher a call.
This morning we welcomed a cafeteria full of honored guests for our 2nd nine weeks Honor Roll Breakfast. We celebrated with over 100 3rd-5th grade students who earned honor roll status. Thanks for the continued hard work and dedication from our students and their families. Also a special thanks to our cafeteria staff for providing breakfast for everyone.
Our archery team will travel to Meade County tomorrow to compete in an archery competition. Our Wildcats have been working really hard on honing their skills and we look forward to a great performance tomorrow! Go Cats!
The WIES News Team put together another great broadcast for your viewing pleasure. After the newscast, we have included a book trailer that our STLP has submitted to the state competition. Good luck to the STLP Team, and thanks for another great news cast to our team!
Our IES Academic Quick Recall team traveled to Hardinsburg this past Monday and came away with 2 big victories. They are gearing up for the district Governor's Cup competition on February 10 at Cloverport.
As a reminder, due to school cancellations we WILL BE IN SESSION on February 16 and 19. March 30th is still a day off for students, but this may change if additional days are missed due to weather.
I hope each of you have a wonderful weekend. If you need anything at all, don't hesitate to give us a call.
Working together toward success for all,

Jon Miller, Principal
